Chris Anthony was born in Stockholm and lived there and in the United States until moving to Florence, for art history studies. His teens were spent as a rock photographer for music magazines around the world. After Florence, he returned to Stockholm for film studies and after a few years of apprenticeship he began directing various projects until finally returning to his first love, still photography. Chris is an artist that uses photography but since he’s always creating characters and worlds for his images, he also make the costumes, props, sculpture, masks, etc as well. Chris currently lives in Los Angeles.
His work has been exhibited in several cities, and is included in many private and public collections worldwide. He has photographed album covers/artwork for My Chemical Romance, Serj Tankian, Modest Mouse, Metallica, AFI and Glen Campbell amongst others. Publications that have featured his work include the Los Angeles Times, Photo District News, Eyemazing, Art News, American Photo, Blink, Kerrang!, Burrn!, Paper, Nylon, Black Book, Juxtapoz and Zoom.
